GOD IS ON THIS PLANET RIGHT NOW!!

Dear all,
I know this is a very clichéd line, a much used and abused one at that. But I have a different take on the subject, probably not as deep as what some of the spiritual leaders of the world have, but a simple and straight one, which I have truly come to believe during the course of my life.

God, in the earlier ages had a funny way of coming to this world. He would make trips to the planet from time to time in the form of Avatars, solve the problems of the world at that point of time and then go back to his heavenly abode once his supremacy was reaffirmed and the general world order was restored.

There are countless examples ranging from Rama to Krishna to Jesus Christ, who came in this world from time to time and changed a lot of things and went away.

But come to think of it, it has been a long time since any god has visited the planet. Some attribute it to the fact that we are living in Kalyug and hence god has abandoned us.

But it doesn’t make sense, does it? What has god’s love for us to do with what Yug we are living in?

What I actually think is that God has found a novel way of being on the planet. He is so put off by the adulation which follows his every visit is that he has decided that he is going to be incognito from now on. He will reside on the earth all the time, but not as a separate entity or human being.

People say that Sachin Tendulkar is god of cricket. But I have a sneaking suspicion that there is actually a percentage of god in him that is greater than other people. Not just him, people like Sachin, Shah Rukh Khan, Albert Einstein, Mohammad Ali, they all have that something special. Have you ever wondered how they can’t seem to do anything wrong. How every stupid little thing they touch turns to gold. It is because they are god’s chosen ones. He has decided that he is going to reside in them much more than he resides in other normal mortals.

Rather, he has decided that he will be in all of us, in varying percentages. Think about it, don’t you feel there are certain days where you can’t put a foot wrong. That is the day the god in you is governing the proceedings. Then there are other days, when whatever you do turns to dust. Those are days in which god has decided to punish you for the idiot that you are.

God is a funny guy, they say. Well, some people are laughing hard, some people are hardly laughing.
